Mexican culture is well-known for its cuisine that can make a foodie’s stomach grumble with hunger. While the majority of the world is aware of the delicious dishes that Mexican cuisine is comprised of, it seems that only Mexicans and Hispanics from other countries relish in the beauty and livelihood of Mexican music. Pixar is going to change this with their upcoming animated film, Coco, which focuses on the impact music has on the culture.

Coco stars newcomer Anthony Gonzalez as Miguel, a young boy who has dreams of becoming a musical sensation such as his idol, Ernesto de la Crus (Benjamin Bratt). Gael García Bernal (Mozart in the Jungle) also stars in this movie as Hector, a mischievous trickster who goes on a journey in the Land of the Dead with Miguel. The film is slated for a Thanksgiving weekend release this year.
