Locos Por Juana Single “Children of the Light” #BeachVibesPlaylist

Locos Por Juana, the Miami-based, GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® nominated reggae fusion band, is proud to release their newest single “Children of the Light” off the new album Crazy for Jane recently dropped. This is the third release from the forthcoming album and combines dubby textures with alt-rock vibes. Based on Simply Reds’ “Holding Back the Years,” the new single is truly spectacular. The inspirational track is full of emotion and takes on a new meaning for Locos Por Juana with a focus on a new generation.

Mark Kondrat reflects, “I think what makes this single different is that we are more mature as artists and writers and we each have children of our own, so this song really hits home for us. Children are coming to this world smarter than ever and we need to do better as parents, brothers/sisters, aunts, and uncles to leave them a world where they can reach their goals and fulfill their destinies. Also, not to mention, that the new generations will have more important work and greater obstacles than we ever had so we are blessed to be the ones to bring them up and teach them right.”

The new single was a collaboration with Locos Por Juana and Tony Gonzalez, founder of the tastemaker imprint Rock the Moon, and the demo was recorded at Mark Kondrat’s home studio, Blue Room Studios. Tony recalls, “One-day Itawe and I were sitting at his house and I played Simply Red’s “Holding Back the Years” and shared the new lyrics with Itawe – and it just worked – then Mark reggae’d the track up with his musical talents. We presented the track to Simply Red and he immediately jumped on board and gave us his blessing to release the song,” Jesse Chirino, daughter of the famous Cuban singer Willy Chirino, lent her vocals for the song.

“Children of the Light” was finished at Studio 26 in Miami, where most of the upcoming album was recorded. Gennaro Schiano (Stephen Marley, Damian Marley) mixed the song and Chris Gehringer from Sterling Sound in NY was the master engineer. Tony concludes, “The new song captures the spirit of what it is to struggle and persevere in life. We all have a positive light inside of us – we just need to fight in order to let it shine and never give up hope – no matter the circumstance.”

NO TE VA GUSTAR Releases an Essential New Video For the Single “MI AUSENCIA”

No Te Va Gustar releases their new music video for the song “Mi Ausencia” with the surprising participation of two famous dancers, Julio Bocca and Rosina Gil, and directed by two movie directors: Ale Damiani and Oliver Lee Garland (Damnland). “Mi Ausencia”’s composer Emiliano Brancciari, singer for No Te Va Gustar, describes the song’s lyrics: “Disagreement as to the only focal point in a relationship that falls apart, and afterward when there’s nothing left, you long for what was lost, because that, although sparse and far-off, kept you together, if nothing else.”

The directors and dancers were informed by this to create a unique audiovisual piece, an elegant allegory about love in its final stage. With a screenplay full of visual appeal and Rosina and Julio’s sublime performance, “Mi Ausencia” is the sixth video released from the album “LUZ,” which was released in May 2021 and recently nominated for a Latin Grammy. C. Tangana And Nathy Peluso Release New Single “Ateo”

C. Tangana and Nathy Peluso have released the new single “Ateo” accompanied by a provocative music video. The song is an ode to bachata, a genre that was heavy on C. Tangana’s mind during the making of his breakthrough album ‘El Madrileño,’ in which he decontextualized the traditional elements and fused them with urban sounds.

C. Tangana felt “Nathy was the perfect partner for that” since they “share a rap background and are sonically exploring other traditional music styles.” “When Pucho first sent me the song,” Nathy Peluso remembers, “I immediately felt it was a classic. And when we worked together at the studio I reconfirmed that same feeling. It’s a project with a marvelous universe and a fantastic video that is truly a piece of art, and a very interesting topic that challenges us all. Long live Romanticism!

The official music video for “Ateo” was filmed at the stunning Toledo Cathedral. It is also C. Tangana’s directorial debut, a shared vision with longtime collaborators Little Spain. “I’ve always been fascinated by film directors and I’m a big cinema aficionado,” C. Tangana shares. “I’ve always worked on the creativity for my videos but this is the first time I’m directing. Beyond aesthetics, the visual portrays how I feel, showcasing the song and the nuances of the lyrics.”

C. Tangana first explored bachata on his smash track “Tú Me Dejaste de Querer,” a track boasting 139 Million YouTube views, incorporating elements from the genre and inspired by his trip to the Dominican Republic, which led to introductions to legends like Luis Segura who he hopes to collaborate with too.

Both artists also garnered leading Latin GRAMMYs nominations last week with 5 nominations for C. Tangana and 4 nominations for Nathy Peluso.
